When looking to replace or update their existing Choice Based Letting and Housing Register software, Encompass LATC (a Local Authority Trading Company which delivers services within the London Borough of Sutton) wanted something that would better reflect their need for more control of their system, without relying on third parties to be required to evolve and adapt the software over time.
Marcus explained “Our existing software was in need of either an upgrade or a replacement. We were impressed with Huume’s features and the roadmap of future functionality. It was clear that the development team have a deep understanding of what our teams need to do to help them to better manage our processes and customers.
As Huume provides customisation and new updates as standard, it will allow us to respond better to sector developments and council requirements without the need for lengthy and costly upgrades, development cycles, or restrictive workarounds.
As we prepared to transfer systems ready for a go live in the Spring, Huume were very responsive, delivering a framework system within a week of getting them on board, alongside in person training. We allowed our customers to re-register with the new system, and the Huume team have been helpful in assisting us to meet our timetable and transferring over data for existing applicants.
It was very important to select a housing needs system that would easily integrate with other Encompass LATC systems and digital platforms, future-proofing our IT systems infrastructure and Huume does exactly that!
