Software Testing & Support Manager

Are you a skilled software tester with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for building strong client relationships? Do you thrive in a dynamic, remote environment where you can make a real impact? If so, we're looking for you!

About the Role: In this hybrid role, as our Software Testing & Support Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and success of our cutting-edge SaaS product. You'll be testing our modern cloud-native system built with .NET, Vue.js, and TypeScript, hosted on Microsoft Azure. You’ll also be helping engage our clients and navigate issues, helping with questions via Zoho Helpdesk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Rigorously test our software to identify and resolve defects, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Feature Enhancement: Collaborate with our development team to design and implement new features and modules that meet the evolving needs of our local authority and housing association clients.

  • Client Support: Provide exceptional technical support to our clients, troubleshooting issues and offering timely solutions.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Product Manager and development team to continue our culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Remote Work: Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the UK.

What We're Looking For:

  • Some software testing experience, including understanding of how to test effectively

  • Some experience of liaising with clients, software support queries and developers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.

  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Software testing

  • Designing test case scenarios

  • Performing thorough testing

  • Reporting back on test effectiveness and defects

  • Collaborating with developers

  • Regression testing prior to release

 

Helpdesk management

  • Manage support tickets via Zoho Helpdesk

  • Resolve any technical issues working with the Development team

  • Liaise with clients via our support ticketing system and online community forums

  • Writing and editing product user manuals upon software updates.

  • Suggest software improvements to tackle issues raised by clients

Requirements and skills

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong customer communication skills.

  • Experience of testing a web application

  • Some familiarity with support ticketing

  • Attention to detail

  • Data security conscious
